Conference time and location
Travel informationThe town of Budva is about 2500 years old, which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast. The coastal area around Budva is well known for its sandy beaches, diverse nightlife, and beautiful examples of Mediterranean architecture.
Budva is connected to the inland by two-laned highways. Podgorica, the capital and main road junction in Montenegro, is around 60 km away. To the rest of coastal towns of Montenegro it is connected by the Adriatic Highway, which extends from Ulcinj in the far south to Herceg Novi and on to Croatia in the north.
Montenegro is reachable through the Podgorica airport, with regular flights to Belgrade and other European destinations throughout the year (Frankfurt, Vienna, Zurich, Budapest, Ljubljana, Zagreb and Moscow). During the summer it is also reachable through the smaller Tivat airport. Budva is located 60 km away from the Podgorica Airport, 22 km away from the Tivat Airport and 96 km away from Dubrovnik airport (in Croatia). Taxi and rent-a-car services are readily available upon arrival.
Taxi fare from the Tivat airport to Splendid hotel takes about 25 minutes and costs about 20 EUR.
